Kaštela Sailing School is, part of the non-profit sailing club Sailing Club Giričić Kaštela. Guided by certified instructors, every young sailor develops:
1. Skill and confidence – learning to read the wind, handle the boat, and trust themselves.
2. Teamwork and responsibility – sailing together, communicating, and supporting one another.
3. Health and balance – spending time outdoors, staying active, and growing stronger in body and
mind.

Our Sport program helps young
sailors grow into confident athletes
and future leaders.
- With certified coaches and modern boats, they master advanced techniques, tactics, and safety on the water.
- Through local and regional regattas, they gain real racing experience while learning teamwork, responsibility, and perseverance.

Our Coaches
Mihaela De Micheli Vitturi and MarijacAnđela De Micheli Vitturi are accomplished sailors and licensed coaches dedicated to inspiring the next generation on the water.
Mihaela is a European Vice Champion in the Olympic 49erFX classwhile her twin sister Marija Anđela earned a World Championship silvermedal in the Snipe class in Brazil.
Their achievements and passion bring exceptional knowledge and energy to our young sailors — teaching them not only how to sail, but how to dream, compete, and grow with confidence.
Recreational Sailing Saturdays
Our Saturday Sailing Program gives children who completed our summer courses the chance to keep sailing yearround — for fun, friendship, and a love of the sea.
- Kaštela, with its long coastline and deep maritime roots, is the perfect place to nurture this tradition. We want young sailors to grow into adults who appreciate wind-powered recreation and pass on their respect for the sea to future generations.

Workshops & Education
Where Sailing Meets Science
When the sails come down, curiosity takes over. Our workshops connect sailing with science, technology, and the sea — helping children explore how wind, forces, and teamwork move a boat.
Several times a month, we host our magical “Science at Sea” nights, where children and families stargaze and discover how navigation meets astronomy.
In our workshops, children:
Learn how wind, sails, and forces work together to move a boat
Explore weather, tides, and sea safety through hands-on experiments
Dive into marine ecology and ocean conservation through creative mini-projects
Expanding Horizons
Our goal is to grow this concept into a year-round learning program that builds STEM knowledge, nurtures sustainability, and sparks interest in future maritime careers.
Community-Driven and Volunteer-Led
All educational and outreach activities are run voluntarily by our team, club members, and guest lecturers — professionals and enthusiasts who generously share their knowledge and time for the benefit of children and the local community.Every donation goes directly toward children’s learning.
Contributions are used exclusively to fund educational materials, field visits, and excursions to scientific institutions, marine events, and shipyards — providing young sailors with hands-on experiences that connect education, technology, and the sea.
